04/09/2026: Due to rabbit damage over the winter, we're holding off of offering the larger sizes of Honeyberry (Haskap) until later in May to ensure they are suitable for passing off to you.
Czech 17 (A.K.A. Berry Blue) is a highly vigorous variety of Haskap. At maturity, plants of this variety can top out at a height of 5 to 6 feet with a spread of 3.5 feet wide. The medium-sized fruits have a firm flesh. Healthy, mature plants can yield as much as 10 to 15 pounds of berries. This variety has a good flavor that is excellent for juicing and making deserts. Flowers of Czech 17 are abundant and appear over a long period of time, which makes this particular variety an excellent pollinator for all other Haskap varieties. The fruiting period is also more prolonged--sometimes 6 weeks, or more--beginning in early summer timeframe.
